Terror in The Rearview

Life can bring you storms that sometimes seem to come out of nowhere. If this has ever happened to you, you are not alone. It feels like you are looking at a clear blue sky, but then clouds start to form and the sky turns dark. Have you ever experienced darkness? I'm not referring to the feeling you get after watching a scary movie ( Which I highly recommend looking into why you should not watch or listen to anything connected to darkness), but that's another topic for another day. I'm going to share something that happened to me, not to scare you or bring up feelings of fear, but to bring awareness. We need to understand that there is a battle between light and darkness. Our days may seem frantic, and sometimes scary and overwhelming, but we must be aware of what is happening around us.
The specific event that I want to share with you was during a time in my life when I was feeling lost and overwhelmed. I was struggling and wanted to escape. I drove to the park where I could be alone and talk to Jesus. I needed a place to breathe, clear my mind, and reflect. I went to the neighborhood park and felt like I needed to back in the parking spot, which is not a normal way for me to park. I backed in and took a deep breath. Enjoying the quiet that was filling my car, I looked into the rearview mirror and chills spread down my back and to my toes. A pale man was walking right towards my car. His face was pale, almost translucent. Not only was he walking quickly, but in his hands was a long 2X4 board, and he had demonic characteristics. I had enough time to start the car and put it in drive before he reached close enough to hit my car. The interesting part is that I only had a few seconds to examine him before I had to decide what his intentions may be.
I know that there are individuals out there who may look off or even scary, but this was like nothing I had ever seen before. As I am driving away, I say to myself, "That was a demon. Jesus, thank you for protecting me! I wondered what if I had not looked back at that exact moment? What could he have wanted to do to me?
You may have experienced something similar, or you may think I am crazy, but I want you to know that the battle is REAL! The battle for YOUR SOUL is happening right now. Isaiah 54:17 says, "No weapon forged against you will prevail, and you will refute every tongue that accuses you. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and this is their vindication from me," declares the Lord.
I still remember this day and thank God for protecting me. I share this experience as a reminder that things are going on that we can not see. The real reason is that I want to encourage you to ask Jesus to open your eyes, first to His Love, but also the enemy's plans. We must be alert, and God says to put on the Full Armor of God to protect ourselves from the attack from satan. But we must remember that even in the unexpected and terrifying moments, God is there, and we can let it be a moment to strengthen our faith.
There are a few tips that I would like to share that may help you develop some situational awareness.
First, do not be on your phone or distracted at ALL when you are out alone. Never park next to a van or SUV if you can not see inside it. Be aware of the people around you while shopping or walking to your car. Park under a light if you are out at night. Always lock your doors when you get in your car, and do not sit in your car for too long when arriving or leaving. There is an important tip that I teach my daughter. I learned in a church security seminar, always speak to others and make eye contact with them, especially males, if you are alone. Criminals are less likely to engage when you can identify them after an attack. It is also good to carry yourself confidently. Also, ladies get mace to carry, learn self-defense, and know you have the right to defend yourself and the responsibility to do it WELL. Lastly, and most importantly, pray and study the Word of God.
If you don't know Jesus Christ as your Savior, there are 3 steps that I encourage you to pray.
Admit that you are a sinner and need to be saved. Follow these simple ABC steps.
Believe that Jesus is the Son of God and that He died on the cross for our sins, and He came back to life 3 days later.
Confess that you receive Him and accept the gift of salvation, and that you have a desire to have a relationship with Jesus Christ.
In Jesus Mighty Name, AMEN
If you received that gift, please reach out to me, AND find a Bible Teaching, Christian Church to visit.
